The SJB is the only party to have served the country as the opposition in 76 years of democratic governance in Sri Lanka, said its leader Sajith Premadasa.
He said his party was doing so at a time when power-hungry groups are throwing massive sums to gain power.
If elected to power, the SJB is capable of doing much more, Premadasa said after handing over a smart classroom to Horagoda Maha Vidyalaya in Malimbada, Akuressa yesterday (17).
Speaking further, he urged the people to think twice before exercising their franchise.
