Twenty university students have been given bail in a case in connection with their illegal participation a protest march by the IUSF in Colombo.
They were produced before the Hulftsdorp magistrate’s court last night (10) and were ordered sureties of Rs. 25,000 each.
An order has been issued for their presence in court again on 14 August.
They were taken into custody during a police crackdown on the protest with water cannon fire at Kirulapone and near Viharamaha Devi Park.
