The Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) will introduce smart agriculture, specifically for Rajarata where a majority are farmers, said opposition leader Sajith Premadasa.
That will enable the farmers to have a higher and quality harvest even suitable for export.
Examples could be obtained from countries such as Israel, he said.
Premadasa was speaking after handing over a smart classroom to Gemunugama Vidyalaya in Ethungama in Mihintale today (06).
He said the country could even have an intermediate season in between the Yala and Maha seasons.
Farmers should be ensured a stable price and properly managed storage facilities too, he added.
