J.M. Thilaka Jayasundara has been appointed secretary to the ministry of education with effect form 01 April.
The secretary to the president handed her appointment letter yesterday (27).
Presently secretary to the ministry of industries, she is a former additional secretary to several state ministries and the first female head of ITN.
A special grade officer of the Sri Lanka Administrative Service, she is the Commonwealth excellence award winner for the government performance management and measurement of 2021.
