No decision whatsoever has been taken to transfer the state-owned land within Kurundi Vihara in Mullativu to outsiders, said secretary to the president Saman Ekanayake.
He has written thus to Ven. Ellawala Medhananda Thera, who sent a letter to him on June 13 which claims the land that does not belong to the temple has been given to the people.
The solution proposed for the land issue in the north and the east is the land that had been categorized as forests and wildlife areas in 1985 should continue to remain so, Ekanayake noted.
