Deputy leader of the UNP Akila Viraj Kariyawasam has urged the intelligent people against the use of archaeology along a racist line in politics.
Certain persons are making petty political references to a remark made by the president recently with regard to archaeological sites, said Kariyawasam.
He said the issue of Kurundi Vihara in Mullaitivu needs to be resolved by returning the land beyond its purview for public life.
