Sri Lanka is being prevented from buying crude from Russia by the ’10 per cent commission gang,’ charges leading businessman Dr. Jagath Chandrawansa.

The president of the Sri Lanka-Russia Business and Professionals Society also said the government was having a low-level of ties with China and Russia for fear of the United States.

Giving an interview to the ‘Chamuditha News Brief’ online channel, Chandrawansa opined that 65 years of Sri Lanka-Russia ties were having the worst times at present.

Ex-president Gotabaya Rajapaksa was without an iota of understanding on how to deal with countries politically, he added.
