Customs codes (HS Codes) have been introduced for 142 new types of goods with effect from January 01.
The aim is to facilitate and streamline imports and exports, said state minister of finance Ranjith Siyambalapitiya.
A gazette notification in this regard will be issued shortly, he has tweeted.
