The government has decided to establish a fully-powered ambassador for international trade affairs under a provision in the economic transformation bill presently before parliament.
Tasked with entering into international trade pacts, this position will have a term of four years.
Once out of service, that person should not hold any position in an institution involved with international trade for the next three years.
